Our program aims to help children achieve bilingualism and biliteracy through dual language immersion.
My name is Jessica Gonzales, and I am the founder and director of La Escuelita Spanish Immersion Preschool, a state-licensed early childhood program located in Dallas, Texas. I have been an Early Childhood Educator since 1999, dedicating over two decades to fostering young minds.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and later obtained a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My journey in education has taken me through 11 years as a Two-Way Dual Language Pre-K teacher, two years as an Early Childhood Specialist for Dallas ISD, and extensive studies in Conscious Discipline, Love and Logic, Social and Emotional Development, and CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System)—a research-based tool that focuses on the heart of great teaching.
Beyond the classroom, I have extensive experience curating, designing, and developing early childhood and adult learning curriculums. As a Curriculum Architect for Dallas College, I developed coursework for early childhood education programs and taught future early childhood educators through a grant-funded initiative, helping prepare the next generation of teachers with the knowledge and skills to support young learners. I have also crafted a tailor-made curriculum for La Escuelita that seamlessly intertwines play-based learning and outdoor exploration, creating an immersive, hands-on experience that fosters curiosity, creativity, and cognitive development.
La Escuelita began as a home-based program, but in February 2025, we proudly opened the doors to our new licensed facility, expanding our vision and commitment to early bilingual education. I founded La Escuelita to provide a space where children from diverse backgrounds can come together to learn, grow, and develop in a nurturing, language-rich environment. As both a parent and an educator, I am passionate about ensuring that every child has the opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate, setting a foundation for lifelong learning and success.
When you walk into our classroom, you will find a vibrant environment filled with music, storytelling, conversation, and cultural celebrations. We are more than just a school; we are a family, honoring and embracing each other’s cultures and languages.
We would love for you to consider La Escuelita Spanish Immersion Preschool and open a whole new world of possibilities for your child!
